The introduction of quality management system (SMK) into institute’s work was brought to an end in 2004 for the purpose of high quality design assurance. The independent audit was made by experts of Kazakhstan branch office of certification agency “Russian Register” and International Certification Net IQNet. The certificate of international standards conformity ISO 9001-2000 was received by the institute after the audit.                                                   Experts of mentioned companies carry out audits annually to approve the Kazgiprotsvetmet’s (KGCM) quality management system performance and development.

In 2007, the detailed audit was carried out and ISO 9001-2000 recertification of SMK KGCM was made as well. In 2009 KGCM obtained the certificate of conformation to ISO 9001-2008 international standards in accordance with the results of the regularly scheduled audit.
Quality policy is meant for long term. Purposes of institute’s SMK are under the annual development and processes and procedures can be updated as the need arises.

The institute’s quality system is: Liability of management. Information and documentation support. Resources support. Production. Improvement system.

There is equipment, facilities and information base, good conditions for appropriate work and rest, up-to-date computer design technology corresponding to world standards in the institute.
Bleeding-edge achievements are being introduced into designs. Skilled personnel having long-term experience hand over their knowledge to young successors.
The efficiency of quality management system consists in the permanent updating, improvement of all work aimed to the design work quality growth. The personnel of institute never stop at what has been accomplished.

The key condition of successful institute work in market is the implementation of the first principle of quality management – customer-oriented service.

Another significant purpose is a compliance with design process: precise distribution of authority and liability for design decisions quality, necessary support of design, revelation of customer and state expertise authority’s complaints, elimination of complaint’s reasons and constant improvement of all institute activity factors.
